A very unique, once-in-a-lifetime event! Participate in an unforgettable evening April 7th at the gorgeous Château de Chantilly and its Grand Stables, with dinner and music in the presence of legendary French actress Leslie Caron and couturier Hubert de Givenchy.

The American Friends of Chantilly and the Fondation pour la Sauvegarde et le Développement du Domaine de Chantilly, two non-profit organisations dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the Domaine de Chantilly, are hosting a special fundraising event, “Memories & Melodies”, to help restore the 19th-century Ile d’Amour, or Island of Love, in the château’s romantic English gardens. The event begins on April 7th at 7pm with dinner in in the Château’s elegant Galerie des Cerfs, where Ms Caron and Mr de Givenchy will share their memories of the filming of two great American masterpieces, An American in Paris and Funny Face (the latter was filmed in Chantilly in 1957).

Dinner will be followed with a concert by the Chantilly Conservatory of Music, whose full orchestra and choir will be performing music by George Gershwin and Leonard Bernstein under the dome of the Grand Stables. This will be the first opportunity to view the sculpted fountain newly restored thanks to the friends and members of the American Friends of Chantilly.
Seats at the event are €220/person (€180 if you’re a member of the AFC), with optional round-trip shuttle from Paris for €20, or a night at the four-star Dolce Hotel for €160 (double room with breakfast). Dress code: cocktail attire. RSVP by April 3rd to AFP President, Candice Nancel, at afceurope@orange.fr or 06 14 67 04 49.
