While Parisians prepare for the Firemen’s Ball, Bastille Day celebrations, and their mass exodus from the city for summer holidays, I’ve been preparing for something entirely different. Beginning tomorrow, the official “Naughty Guides” photographer Kirsten Loop will join me here in Paris for a 10-day whirlwind schedule of photo shoots to update our award-winning travel book, “Naughty Paris: A Lady’s Guide to the Sexy City”.
This long-awaited second edition will have a whole new selection of hotels, bars, spas, restaurants, night clubs, boutiques and naughty nightlife, all carefully handpicked for discerning ladies. All which need to be photographed, of course. And having done this twice now (shooting the first Naughty Paris and more recently Naughty New York), I know in advance that despite a physically grueling schedule, sleep deprivation, fickle weather, and dealing with some rather awkward situations (considering the material we’re shooting), that we’re going to have far too much fun to call it “work”.
