Paris in the Winter

Paris can be rather dreary in the winter, especially after they start taking down the holiday decorations. But there are little things that make up for it. Like a lovely winter sunrise…

Taken at 8am…

…and ten minutes later the fog rolled in.

The towers of Chinatown in the 13th arrondissement hidden by fog.

The Mairie du 13ème at the Place d’Italie in the fog.

The lake at the Parc de Bercy.

The birch trees are gorgeous in the winter.

Pussy willows already opening up. These are my favorite winter plants!

Pansies and decorative cabbage plants. My least favorite “n’importe quoi” winter plants.

A lovely rainbow over Paris for 2012.
