Did you know the French SNCF trains have their own specialized sounds?
If you’ve spent any time traveling around France by train, you’ll recognize this little jingle:
The SNCF even created its own little techno song using the jingle:
And the British singer David Gilmore incorporated the jungle into his song Rattle that Lock from the 2015 album of the same name (the video is pretty cool, too):
Anyone know of creative ways the SNCF jingle has been incorporated into songs?

I was recently travelling in France, heard the SNCF jingle, and was inspired to write a song with it. I was looking for info on it and found your article. Maybe I should have expected, but I had no idea others were inspired by it too! It’s a house track called “Entrant Gare” on thetinymummies.bandcamp.com.
Thanks for the link to the ringtone. I managed to create one on my own last year but I can't remember how I did it. I love hearing the jingle. It transports me to France, and the excitement of going on a journey. I even used it in an illustration in my latest children's book, HUDSON IN PROVENCE. Look in the top left hand corner. http://payload340.cargocollective.com/1/0/18289/9106826/train-400_639.jpg
