HOLIDAYS
There are three national holidays in France in May (essential shops open during Covid-19 lockdown may be closed on these days):
- May 1st: Fête du Travail
- May 8th: V-Day 1945
- May 21st: Ascension
- June 1st : Pentecost Monday

- Foire de Paris (originally postponed to July, awaiting new date announcement)
- Journées des Plantes de Chantilly: One of the biggest flower shows in France (formerly at Courson).
- Nuit Européenne des Musées: Postponed to November 14th
- Fête de la Nature: Postponed to October 7-11
- Artists’ Open Studios in Belleville: Portes Ouvertes des Ateliers d’Artistes de Belleville
- Les Frigos: open ateliers at one of the oldest artists “squats” in Paris
ANNUAL JUNE EVENTS
- Fête de la Musique (June 21st, online version taking place in 2020)
- Grand Siècle Day at Château Vaux le Vicomte (Cancelled for 2020)
- Portes d’Or (no dates for 2020)
- Le Grand Bal Masqué du Château de Versailles (cancelled for 2020)
- Rendez-Vous au Jardins (cancelled for 2020)
- Bal des Parisiennes (cancelled for 2020)
- Lézarts du Bièvre (cancelled for 2020)
- Champs Elysées Film Festival (June 9-16, screenings will be 100% online and 100% free)
- Solidays (cancelled)
- Salon Emmaüs
- Drive In Cinema Summer Paris 2020 (June 27th)
- Gay Pride Parade (postponed to November 7th)
