What’s On in Paris – July 2025

Paris Plages

This is just a small selection of some of the events happening in Paris this month, updated weekly.

Outdoor Summer Fun

July 3 and 5
Le Food Market is a monthly open-air food festival on Boulevard Belleville (between metro Ménilmontant and Couronnes) with over a dozen stands serving up tasty dishes of all kinds at affordable prices (kind of like a gathering of static food trucks, but without the wheels) from 6pm-10:30pm. This month they’re celebrating their 10th anniversary with all dishes just €10 and a Left Bank pop-up on the Rue du Bac closest to Sèvres-Babylone metro (July 5th, 11am-6pm). It can get quite crowded, so get there early to avoid waiting (there are huge tables to sit and eat).

July 4
If you’re looking for some 4th of July – American Independence Day parties around Paris, you could do a classic fave like Harry’s Bar, or try something different, like Abricot Bar (live music, vegan hot dogs, awesome cocktails) on the Right Bank or the Bistrot Saint-Germain (live jazz and full bar) on the Left Bank. Or just stay home doomscrolling…

July 5 – August 31: Paris Plages 2025!
The original urban beaches are back this summer with three sites across Paris — along the Seine, Canal Saint-Martin, and Bassin de la Villette. There are free swimming spots, Brazilian cultural events, beach volleyball, outdoor dancing, and plenty of lounge chairs to enjoy the fabulous weather. New this year: sandy beaches return to the Seine, and open-air swimming is officially allowed in the river for the first time in a century. July 6
The 25th anniversary of the Tropical Carnival takes place on the Champs-Élysées from 1pm with dancers and music celebrating Brazilian and Caribbean cultures with the theme “Amazons”. This family-friendly event celebrates the cultural diversity of the Caribbean, Guyanese and Latin American carnival traditions with troupes from the Antilles, Guyana, the entire Caribbean, Latin America, and of course Brazil, with a spectacular finale between the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais.

July 11 & 12
The Orchestre de Chambre de Paris performs an open-air concert in the gardens of the Hôtel de Sully (7 place des Vosges, 4th arrondissement), featuring Gluck’s Don Juan ballet-pantomime and Mozart’s Symphony No. 39, conducted by Roberto González-Monjas. Doors open at 7pm; concert begins at 8pm. Tickets available online, €20.

July 12–August 5
Festival Paris l’été returns for its 35th edition, transforming locations throughout Paris into stages for contemporary theater, dance, music, circus, performance, and cabaret. This year’s lineup features more than 30 events in unexpected venues—rooftops, chapels, schools, and gardens—with both free and ticketed shows. Highlights include All World Waacking by Josépha Madoki, Kiddy Smile’s After Party, Lia Rodrigues’ Encantado, and the immersive circus piece Rouge Merveille. Tickets range from €10–€38.

July 14: Fête Nationale – Bastille Day!
La Fête Nationale, aka Bastille Day to Americans, is one of the biggest holidays in France. In Paris it’s celebrated with a traditional military parade on the Champs-Elysées, fireworks from the Eiffel Tower, and the Firefighters’ Ball (July 12th and 13th). Get the fully updated details for 2025 of where to go, what to do, what’s open, how to stay cool, and much more in this Secrets of Paris article, “What to See & Do in Paris on Bastille Day”

July 26

Festivities on the Place du Châtelet (1st) begin at 4pm with a Bingo Music Quiz hosted by Minima Gesté, followed by a giant karaoke with Nicolas Ullmann’s Kararocké and live band from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, and ending with a DJ set by Rebequita from 8pm to 10pm.
