  • My college roommate and I walked off the Eurostar in Paris with our bags and no hotel reservations in April 2004. After dragging our bags around on wheels around the city, a nice gentleman tourist from India helped us find a nearby hotel with vacancies. It was the Hotel St. Anne on Rue de St. Anne, off Rue de Richelieu. We walked in the lobby and they asked how much I wanted to pay for a room, I said 100 Euros and, voila!, we had a room. The neighborhood was lovely and the views gorgeous. I loved the hotel which was in the middle of everything you could want to see in Paris. The rooms were beautifully, yet simply, decorated. The staff was incredible and breakfast was lovely. I can’t wait to go back to Paris.
