Of course this is considered one of the most elegant and luxurious hotels in Paris, but it’s the little touches that count. The swanky HĂ´tel Le Bristol has two cute little Smart cars, decorated with the hotel’s classy green logo, available to guests for (10 euros per half day) for shopping excursions around the city. They also have regular fashion shows in the tea room (where some sinfully decadent hot chocolate and pastriesare served for afternoon tea). Le Bristol is a very “Old Money” palace — no trendy designer makeovers or DJ parties attracting the Champagne jetset here. It’s more discreetly posh maybe even a bit stuffy in some people’s opinions. Some rooms have authentic Louis XV and Louis XVI furniture and marble bathrooms in  1920s Art Deco style, while others have a more relaxed 19th-century style. Every inch of the hotel is decorated with old-master paintings, sculptures, sumptuous carpets, and tapestries. The huge, interior garden restaurant draw the discreetly wealthy. On the top floor is a penthouse swimming pool with panoramic views, a spa and gym. A new wing set to open as we went to press has 27 additional rooms, a new lounge bar and a casual brasserie overlooking the Faubourg St-HonorĂ©. 162 rooms, 73 suites. Public WiFi, parking (no fee), and some pets allowed. Rooms from €690-790, suites from €900.
