After two weeks of sunshine, swimming, sipping rosé, and sightseeing, Fred and I needed a gentle transition back into our busy Parisian lives. So instead of driving directly back home, we spent a day with Parisian friends Forest and Thibault at their country getaway in Le Perche, a forested region 90 minutes from Paris straddling the Loire Valley and Normandy.
