Highlights from the Villages of the Allier Valley

Using Vieille Brioude as our base, Fred and I spend the entire day Wednesday exploring the villages along the Allier River, also known as the Gorges de L’Allier. The day starts off rather overcast, which is almost a relief since I’m still nursing my stomach on a steady diet of Smecta, and it’s also a lot easier to get decent photos when the sun isn’t casting such dramatic shadows.
