Paris is romantic any day of the year, but if you’re looking for something beyond the usual candlelight dinner or sunset cruise on the Seine this Valentine’s Day, here are a few unique ideas that aren’t too late to book for 2025.
Inspired by Rodin
The Soirée Love at the Musée Rodin promises couples a romantic evening immersed in art, dance, and poetry. Wander hand-in-hand through the museum’s collections and gardens to enjoy a moonlit Belle Époque dance, live performances of early 20th-century love songs, or treats from the pop-up bar. February 14th from 7pm to 11pm, advance online booking required; tickets €27.
If you’re looking for a special gift for your Valentine – and money’s no object – you can commission a custom replica of Rodin’s famous statues, including The Kiss or the interlaced hands of The Cathedral, made from the official molds from the museum’s collections, each one delivered with a special seal “Reproduction – Musée Rodin” guaranteeing its quality and origin. Prices from €5k to €35k (if that makes you balk, there are also smaller gift shop models available from €250).
Poetry and Private Baths
You don’t need to understand French to enjoy an evening of poetry at the sexy Boudoir des Muses hotel in the Marais. Hosted by Le Poetry Club, there will be four poets reciting classic French love poems and their own contemporary works, followed by socializing with the guests. February 15th 3-5pm, reservations required; tickets €15.
If those poetic sweet nothings are not enough to ignite the passion, book a private 90-minute session for two at the Boudoir des Muses’ private spa baths, the Salon Venus (€250) or the Salon Hédoné (€295), including two glasses of Champagne. There are still a few slots open on February 14th, 15th, and 16th, but of course you can book any time of the year you need a little private pampering.
Your Public Declaration of Love on the Billboards of Paris
Every year for Valentine’s Day, the City of Paris offers you the opportunity to profess your love on the city electronic information panels. Sweet nothings, declarations of love, or marriage proposals…craft your message of love for your Valentine in 145 characters or less (including spaces) to be considered for inclusion. In French, but easy to figure out, the form first asks for your name, then your email (to notify you), then your message, and finally you click that you agree to the website’s terms and conditions, et voila! The form will be available online here from February 3rd through February 10th at noon.
